Joe Doris
Owner/Guide
Joe began his love for the outdoors at a very young age, and his passion goes beyond waterfowl hunting and stems into hunting for Whitetail Bucks and big Illinois turkeys.
During the off season you can find him competing in bass tournaments. Joe began his career at the BLHC in 2010 and is also in charge of day to day operations. He contributes his success to his family, he resides in Bourbonnais IL with his wife Megan Doris and daughter Lexie, when asked what makes him successful at running a hunt club his answer was “the strong backbone and support system I have, without my family it wouldn’t happen, they are there no matter what and never complain about the long hours and all the time I am away from home, Megan also helps every second she can ,also couldn’t do it without all my guides and members, I have a strong group that are always there no matter what and make my job easier, they are simply the best.
Last but not least he wanted to ”thank Mike, Barney and Terry for their continued support and trusting him and giving him the chance to run the day to day operations, those guys have been there every step of the way, wouldn’t be where I am today without those guys.”
Thank you Joe for your continued dedication to the guides and members of the BLHC

Cameron Maxson
Guide
Cam was introduced to Waterfowl hunting by his grandfather at a young age, hunting the Braidwood cooling lake and surrounding areas.
Sine then he has been blessed with some great figures in his life to lead him down the successful path he has followed since starting his guiding career with the BLHC. Guiding was not the path he anticipated, but was offered his first guide job by the BLHC after finishing college. After 4 years with the BLHC he took a additional guide job with Tony Vandemore and crew at Habitat Flats in Missouri guiding duck and snow goose hunts.
Cam still plays a vital role in the success of the BLHC by guiding late season goose hunts from late December til the end of the season, thank you Cam for your continued dedication to the BLHC. The BLHC would like to take a moment and thank all the guides as well as their families as well as the landowners who allow us to do what we do, they are the true backbone to our success and help us bring smiles and joy to both the older generations and the younger generations that follow. Each hunter has their own story of how they began and we like to be part of that story

John Anderson
Guide
John is a major attribute to the success of the BLHC. He grew up in a small town on the Mississippi River and spent everyday he could chasing the migration.
John pursued and received a degree in biology to further his education in the outdoor industry. In 2018 he enlisted in the U.S Air Force and was deployed to Iraq to serve a tour.
In 2021 John pursued his dream and
became a full time Waterfowl guide and travels up and down the Central and Mississippi Flyways from Sept 1 through mid April as well as guiding at the BLHC. Thank you for your service John and all your continued work and dedication to the BLHC. We are proud to have you as a part of our team. We couldn’t do it without you.

Bryan Hack
Guide
Bryan has been hunting the surrounding Kankakee and Iroquois county areas since a young kid. In fact, years ago, Bryan and his dad Kevin were known to hunt the BLHC a few times a year. Hunting has been passed down through generation of his family and is a past time he certainly enjoys to share with his friends and family. Bryan's favorite hunting buddy is his 9 year old chocolate lab, Avery, who without a doubt loves hunting as much as he does.
Bryan enjoys any type of hunting, however has a special passion for Waterfowl. In 2011 he pursued his doctoral degree in Physical Therapy which moved him all over the country until 2016 when he landed back in Illinois with his wife. The last several years he has been chasing Waterfowl near and on the Kankakee River. We are proud to have him as part of our team.
